Mr Fiberglass Epoxy Specs

Hi Mike,
The Mr Fiberglass Epoxy is made by Reichhold Chemicals:
http://www.reichhold.com/
 The Resin is: 37-127
 The Slow Hardener is: 37606-00
 The Fast Hardener is: 37614-00
The Med Hardener is a combination of Slow & Fast

You can enter these numbers into their search engine and find a lot of good
information on the products.

I think you can go to the www.westsystem.com site and get their specs to
compare to the MFG specs. If you do, fill me in. This has been on my do list
for quite some time now.

Take care!

 Dave

By Weight Ratios

The mixing ratios by weight are:
Fast 1 Part Resin to .249 Parts Fast Hardener
Medium 1 Part Resin to .312 Parts Med Hardener
Slow 1 Part Resin to .446 Parts Slow Hardener

Quick Summary

Full cure is generally about 24 hrs at 77F and provides Tg of about 165-171F
Cure schedule can be accellerated to 2hrs at 212F to 250F (depending on hardener)  Tg should move up with the cure temp.
I *think* it's more viscous than Aeropoxy(particularly)  and West Systems (perhaps), but I haven't really checked this.
Only the "slow" is suitable for composite construction layout of any size; the medium and slow are too viscous to start and gel too quickly. I have helped folks glass some 48" 4" tubes with medium cure and it was a race against time, esp for getting a good set of the heat shrink tape.
